Carrollton City Schools
Pope-McGinnis Student Activity Center
Southern A&E designed the Pope-McGinnis Student Activity Center at Carrollton High School for Carrollton City Schools, delivering a 32,180-square-foot state-of-the-art indoor athletic facility that supports a wide range of student-athlete programs. The facility includes a full 100-yard synthetic turf football field for year-round indoor practice, an auxiliary gymnasium, and a dedicated cheer and wrestling room. A large weight training room, multiple locker rooms, several coaches’ offices, and abundant storage space provide the infrastructure needed to support high-performance athletic development and daily operations.
In addition to the new indoor facilities, the project includes a completely renovated competition gymnasium, a new softball facility, and a two-level fieldhouse with team meeting rooms, laundry facilities, and additional support spaces. The Student Activity Center also features a Hall of Fame area honoring Carrollton High School’s athletic legacy. Designed not only for school use but also to serve the broader community, the facility regularly hosts public and recreational events such as youth soccer and other community sports programs. The Pope-McGinnis Student Activity Center provides a comprehensive, modern environment for training, competition, and community engagement.
