In March 2021, an EF-4 tornado devastated Newnan High School, leaving nine of the thirteen campus buildings beyond repair. Southern A&E took on the challenge of leading the rebuild with a focus on resilience and innovation.
The project progressed in three phases: The first phase involved demolishing the damaged structures, clearing the way for new development. Next, construction prioritized the gymnasium, ensuring it was ready for athletic events as soon as possible. Finally, the 223,398-square-foot main school building was completed in July 2024, providing modern facilities designed to meet current needs and accommodate future growth.
